The mainstream explanation for the decrease in solubility of calcium hydroxide in Guangdong with decreasing temperature is that calcium hydroxide has two hydrates [Ca (OH) 2 · 2H2O and Ca (OH) 2 · 12H2O]. The solubility of these two hydrates is relatively high, while the solubility of anhydrous calcium hydroxide is very low. As the temperature decreases, this crystalline hydrate gradually becomes anhydrous calcium hydroxide, so the solubility of calcium hydroxide in Guigang Lime Plant decreases with the decrease of temperature.
